Who doesn’t want to look younger? While we can’t stop skin aging, it is possible to slow the process! One way is by using an anti-aging serum, like our favorite ‘blue’ serum, Midnight Blue Youth Activating Drop from Klairs. It is a highly concentrated serum, containing only 10 core ingredients to make sure that you get the best effect.
The key ingredients in this Blue Drop are EGF (sh-Oligopeptide-1) and bFGF (sh-polypeptide-1) which naturally exist inside our body. These two substances are the keys to keep our outer and inner skin firm and smooth. Thus, keys to skin elasticity. However, in the mid-20s, the amount of EGF and bFGF are decreasing, resulting loss of skin elasticity. Not only that, wrinkles and fine lines will become more visible in the 30s. This what makes us create the Blue Drop. An anti-aging serum for those who are in 20s and 30s. (Watch more about the Blue Drop here).
While even on its own, this serum is effective in improving the appearance of wrinkles and maintaining skin elasticity, there are extra tips so that you can double the effect of the Blue Drop. Get the maximum effect of this little blue magic by doing these tips!
TIPS 1. Exfoliate Skin Before Using the Blue Drop
Try to do exfoliation before applying the Blue Drop. As you wash away your dead skin cells and all impurities by exfoliating, your skin will absorb the Blue Drop even better! Thus, maximizing the restoration of your skin and wrinkles improvement. However, note that there will be different ways to exfoliate for different skin types;
For Oily Skin:
It is recommended to exfoliate oily skin by using a clay mask like the Volcanic Mask by I’m From. Not only effective in deep cleansing pore and removing dead skin cells, this mask will also help to control sebum production.
For Dry or Acne Prone Skin:
Another way to exfoliate is by using chemical exfoliator. While some use AHA, BHA, or Vitamin C to exfoliate, these ingredients might be too harsh for those who have acne-prone skin. That’s why, it’s very important to find a very mild chemical exfoliants, just like the Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water from By Wishtrend. This is the exfoliator that is mild enough to be used by acne-prone skin.
For Combination Skin:
Those who have combination skin, might use a facial scrub to exfoliate. However, keep in mind that it is very important to find a scrub that not to rough so that your skin will not be irritated from all the scrubbing! We recommend trying Klairs Genle Black Sugar Facial Polish that use real, edible black sugar as its exfoliator.
TIPS 2. Apply the Blue Drop with Massage Ball
You should be able to find this small massage ball container in a dollar store, like Daiso in Korea. Just put several drops of the Blue Drop, and massage your skin in a circular motion! You might want to focus on the area where you have fine lines or wrinkles such as under the eyes or smile lines.
TIPS 3. Use a Dermaroller
Dermaroller could help the absorption of the Blue Drop even better. All you have to do is to apply the Blue Drop all over your face first, then use the Dermaroller. Don’t forget to disinfect the dermaroller before using! Roll it in straight line, in one direction and massage well. You can repeat this process again one more time, then apply the Blue Drop once again!
TIPS 4. Make Your Own Wrinkle Patches
You can make a DIY wrinkle patches just with 3 products: the Blue Drop (of course!), Klairs Toner, and the sponge pad (from Klairs Toner Mate 2 in 1 Cotton Pad). What you should is to mix the Toner with the Blue Drop in 1:1 ration. Then, after cutting the sponge cotton pad in half, soak it in the mixture completely.
Put on the pads on the area where you have fine lines or wrinkles such as around eye area and smile lines. Let it sit on your face for about 15 minutes, remove, and pat the excess moisture to absorb fully!
